Successfully concluded 2016 International Conference on Robotics: Current Trends and Future Challenges


Successfully concluded the International Conference on Robotics: Current Trends and Future Challenges (RCTFC). The conference was jointly organized by SASTRA University, Thanjavur, India and Plymouth University, UK with technical co-sponsorship of IEEE and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society on 19 and 20 December 2016. Two days were packed with five keynote addresses by eminent researchers, paper presentations, Robotics exhibition, etc. Dr. Guido Bugmann (Plymouth University) , Dr. T. Asokan (IIT Madras) , Dr. Ramana M. Pidaparti (University of Georgia) , Mr. Sudhir Reddy (Jay Robotix, Singapore) and Dr. David Jenkins (Plymouth University) delivered the keynote addresses. Author participants from Brunel University (UK), University of Georgia (USA), IIT Madras, VNIT Nagpur, NIT Calicut, BITS Pilani Goa, BITS Pilani Hyderabad, UPES Dehradun, SRM University, RV College of Engineering (Bangalore), Ramaiah Institute of Technology (Bangalore) and our own SASTRA University attended the same and presented their papers. The tag line of the conference was " ROBOTICS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT ". Very happy and relieved to see several months of hardwork of RCTFC Team ending up in a positive note. Thanking the delegates and student community of SASTRA for making this venture a great success.
