The Terrain Mapping Camera on Chandrayaan 1 was successfully operated on 29th oct 2008. The first picture was taken at 8:00 AM IST from a height of 9000 KMS which shows northern coast of Austrailia. The Second Picture taken from a height of70000 KMS shows Austrailia's Southern Coast. This picture was taken at 12:30 PM. The TMC is one of the payloads of Chandrayaan 1. The instruments having a resolution of 5 meters can take Black and White pictures.
